Aspiring playwrights, Bud Davenport and Doug Simon, have a new project in the works, a splashy musical about Johann Gutenberg, the inventor of the printing press. In this two-man musical spoof, Bud and Doug perform their backers' audition with hope and enthusiasm, singing all the songs, playing all the parts, and crossing their fingers for the much-desired Broadway contract.
